2. Purpose of Data Collection
We use your data strictly for recruitment purposes, including:
- Verifying your identity and professional eligibility.
- Shortlisting candidates for interviews and written exams.
- Communicating application status and interview invitations.
- Ensuring compliance with the Health Service Act and public service regulations.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your data. However, we may share information with:
- Professional Bodies: Verification of licenses with Medical/Nursing/Allied Health Councils.
- NIRA: Verification of National Identity details.
- Ministry of Health: For placement and HR planning of successful candidates.
4. Data Security
We implement robust technical and organizational measures to secure your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. All data is stored on secure servers managed under the National Information Technology Authority (NITA-U) guidelines.
5. Your Rights
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act (2019), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Object to the processing of your data (this may result in withdrawal of your application).
- Request the deletion of your account (subject to legal retention periods).
6. Data Retention
The HSC retains applicant data for as long as necessary to fulfill recruitment processes and legal audit requirements. Profiles of unsuccessful candidates are typically archived after a period of two (2) years.
