  • Demonstrable qualities of leadership and integrity.
  • Diagnose and treat complicated geriatric conditions.
  • Conduct specialized geriatric Clinics.
  • Coordinate and manage a referral system for patients as the National level.
  • Manage referral patients at the National level.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, appraise and train Medical and Health Professionals under him/her.
  • Draft standard operating procedures, clinical protocols and guidelines in geriatrics.
  • Teach Medical students as well as other health students.
  • Supervise and train intern Doctors.
  • Manage and supervise ward rounds.
  • Ensure discipline and the ethical code of conduct are observed by staff under him or her.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct operational research in his/her specialty.
  • Plan and coordinate Medical Education in his/her specialty for Health Professionals at the Hospital and catchment area of the Hospital.
  • Advise on the procurement of equipment, drugs and other logistics required for his/her specialty.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Conduct ward rounds
