Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Manage and account for allocated resources
Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of Pharmacy Units.
Assist in ensuring availability of drugs, maintain stock levels and advise Clinicians and other health professionals on prescriptions.
Participate in preparation of medicines.
Liaise with the National Drug Authority in ensuring that all medicines conform to prescribed standards.
Liaise with relevant clinical units and wards to ensure that medicines are properly recorded and stored.
Advise patients and communities on the proper use and storage of drugs
Participate in drugs and clinically related research
Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.
Promote observance of professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
